The driver now sits 3.5 centimeters closer to the asphalt. The thing is that the fuel tank used to be under the front seats, but now, as a rule, it is placed in front of the rear axle. The cockpit also looks great, with its instruments and service is easier than in the previous model. New is the 2-stage adjustment of the shock absorbers (an additional option), but the Civic does not have driving modes.
The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine works well and reaches 6,600 rpm without any complaints. According to the Japanese, the average fuel consumption is 6 liters, and after our first drive, the car consumed an average of 9.3 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers. We admit that we drove a little aggressively, but does anyone drive a “Civic” differently? The cornering system is sensitive, the gearbox has also been improved. The suspension is also balanced with 17-inch wheels - the new “Civic” will delight you every kilometer.
Since 2017, Honda has been offering a 1-liter midget with 3 cylinders along with the top-of-the-line engine. Later, a 120-horsepower diesel will be released, and, of course, the best version of the Civic - Type R. It should be noted that the Japanese will produce the current model until 2018.
